$325 towards $1,500

I shared my story as a multi-CSA survivor with Mirror Memoirs in the fall of 2021. It was the first time sharing my story in a space with folks embracing my lived experience, amplifying and uplifting my humanity in its entirety. Fast forward 3 years and we are months away from the audio archive release. I would be so blessed for the opportunity to convene with other QTIBIPOC survivor storytellers, many of whom I have shared virtual space for 4+ years. $1500 will cover the costs for me to attend this convening in Los Angeles in September

It has taken a lot of Self work in short circuiting shame around my survivor status and evolving disabilities to acknowledge the depths of my experiences are meant to be archived and shared. "to leave evidence" as Mia Mingus would put it. This is also why I lean into being public and visible as a Mirror Memoirs storyteller.

"We must leave evidence. Evidence that we were here, that we existed, that we survived and loved and ached. Evidence of the wholeness we never felt and the immense sense of fullness we gave to each other. Evidence of who we were, who we thought we were, who we never should have been. Evidence for each other that there are other ways to live--past survival; past isolation."
-Mia Mingus

Join me in creating the world we need and deserve. Help us ensure our most public communities members are safer and more supported as they step more boldly into visibility as Mirror Memoirs survivor storytellers.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Mirror Memoirs.
