Help Us Convene and Protect Our 85 BIPOC LGBTQI+ Survivor Storytellers

We are asking our Core and Accomplice Members to rally your friends, family, and networks to support our work. By becoming a fundraiser for Mirror Memoirs, you will help others learn about our work, while raising the funds needed to convene, support, train and protect our survivor storytellers.

Funds raised from Fall 2023-Spring 2024 allowed us to provide digital security training to each of the storytellers in our audio archive, theater project, and on our leadership team (a group of 15 survivors).

Funds raised from Summer-Fall 2024 will provide up to 30 travel scholarships for our low-income storytellers to convene in Los Angeles, where they will deepen relationship, gather into year-long peer support pods, and receive training on: how to address child sexual abuse as a social justice and public health issue, how to ask for and give crisis care peer support while staying boundaried and grounded, and how to navigate the security considerations that come with being a publicly "out" child sexual abuse survivor who is also a queer and/or transgender person of color.

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do. We'll give you all the tools you'll need. With your help, we can ensure our most visible community members are cared for as they lead the work of building a world without rape culture and child sexual abuse.
