Help me provide $500 micro-grants to 50 transgender and non-binary child sexual abuse survivors of color through the Mirror Memoirs Member Support Fund! These funds support folks to stay housed, fed, and have access to medicine, while reminding them they are connected to a network of care in these perilous times.

My name is Queen, and I'm a Black queer abolitionist, drug policy nerd, and an unapologetic Gemini from the Bronx, living in the District of Columbia. I'm so proud to be on the Board of Mirror Memoirs, as a survivor of child sexual abuse who has been so deeply supported by this beautiful network of survivors and accomplices.

Child sexual abuse is one of the most common experiences and yet one of the most stigmatized. That is especially true for those of us living at the margins of oppression. I've never felt more seen than when I first heard another queer survivor of color share their testimony so openly and honestly. Being connected to Amita Swadhin, and this incredible network was life-changing and affirming. Our collective stories shed light and offer space for others to come forward and be witnessed if they choose. Our stories hold wisdom - about how to survive, how to support each other, how to build the world we deserve. The things we've survived could fracture us and have threatened to. But they can also give us deep insights, tools, and magic.

We’re at a moment of overwhelming and intersecting fights - the attack on trans children, on Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, on body autonomy. Your support of Mirror Memoirs will help us fight back against rape culture, racial violence, and violence against queer and trans people. It will help us build our community of care, send direct material support to our most marginalized members, and uplift our stories and wisdom. Please consider donating anything that you can to support this fund.
